New York: New EmersonEmerson poll shows Democrats ahead
On March 30, EmersonEmerson released the results of a new poll, in which respondents from New York were asked for whom they would vote if the parties' nominees were Hillary Clinton for the Democrats and Donald Trump for the Republicans.
According to the results, 55.0% of participants intend to vote for the Democrat Clinton, while 36.0% intend to vote for Trump. The poll was conducted between March 14 and March 16. The sample size was 768 likely voters. The margin of error is +/-3.5 points.
According to other surveys
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 60.4% for Hillary Clinton and 39.6% for the Republican Donald Trump. The Democrats did better by 1.1 percentage points in comparison to the average results of the other polls in New York.
