New QuinnipiacQuinnipiac poll in Florida: Republicans trail by a moderate margin
On March 24, QuinnipiacQuinnipiac released the results of a new poll, in which respondents from Florida were asked for whom they would vote if the parties' nominees were Hillary Clinton for the Democrats and Donald Trump for the Republicans.
Of those who answered the question, 46.0% revealed that they intend to vote for the Democrats, whereas 41.0% revealed that they would give their vote to the Republicans. The poll was conducted between September 25 and October 5. The sample size was 1173 registered voters. Figures have a +/-2.9 percentage points sampling error.
According to other surveys
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 52.9% for the Democrat Clinton and 47.1% for the Republican Trump. The vote share for the Republicans is 1.6 percentage points over the average results of other polls in Florida.
