New PPP (D)PPP (D) poll in North Carolina: Republicans trail by a small margin
PPP (D)PPP (D) published the results of a new poll on March 27. In this poll, respondents from North Carolina were asked for whom they would likely vote if Hillary Clinton were the Democratic Party's candidate and Donald Trump were the Republican Party's candidate.
Of those who responded, 44.0% said that they intend to vote for the Democrats, whereas 42.0% revealed that they would give their vote to the Republicans. This poll was conducted from March 18 to March 20, among a random sample of 843 registered voters. Figures have a +/-3.4 percentage points sampling error.
In comparison with other surveys
Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 51.2% for the Democrat Clinton and 48.8% for Trump. The Republicans did better by 0.0 percentage points in comparison to the average results of the other polls in North Carolina.
