New NBC/WSJ/MaristNBC/WSJ poll in Michigan: Republicans trail by a very clear margin
Results of a new poll carried out by NBC/WSJ/MaristNBC/WSJ were circulated on April 4. The poll asked respondents from Michigan for whom they would likely vote if the Democrats nominated Hillary Clinton and the Republican Party nominated Donald Trump.
Of those who answered the question, 52.0% revealed that they will vote for the Democrats, whereas 36.0% indicated that they would give their vote to the Republicans. The poll was carried out between March 1 and March 3. The sample size was 2229 registered voters. The error margin is +/-2.1 percentage points. Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 59.1% for the Democrats and 40.9% for the Republicans.
