On March 31, EmersonEmerson released the results of a new poll, in which respondents from New York were asked for whom they would vote if the parties' nominees were Hillary Clinton for the Democrats and Donald Trump for the Republicans.
According to the results, 55.0% of participants plan to vote for the Democrat Clinton, while 36.0% plan to vote for Trump. The poll was conducted between March 14 and March 16. The sample size was 768 likely voters. The error margin is +/-3.5 percentage points.
According to other surveys
Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 60.4% for the Democrats and 39.6% for the Republicans. The Democrats did better by 1.1 percentage points in comparison to the average results of the other polls in New York.
