NBC/WSJ/MaristNBC/WSJ/Marist poll in Iowa: Republicans are trailing
Results of a new poll conducted by NBC/WSJ/MaristNBC/WSJ/Marist were circulated on March 30. The poll asked respondents from Iowa for whom they would likely vote if the Democratic Party nominated Hillary Clinton and the Republicans nominated Donald Trump.
According to the results, 48.0% of respondents are going to vote for Clinton, while 40.0% are going to vote for the Republican Trump. The poll was conducted from January 2 to January 7 among 1470 registered voters. The sampling error is +/-2.6 percentage points. Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 54.6% for the Democrat Clinton and 45.5% for Trump.
