NBC/WSJ/MaristNBC/WSJ/Marist poll in Florida: Democrats are leading
Results of a new poll conducted by NBC/WSJ/MaristNBC/WSJ/Marist were released on March 25. The poll asked participants from Florida for whom they would likely vote if the Democrats nominated Hillary Clinton and the Republican Party nominated Donald Trump.
Of those who responded, 49.0% revealed that they would vote for the Democrats, while 41.0% revealed that they would give their vote to the Republicans. The poll was conducted between March 4 and March 10. The sample size was 2422 registered voters. Figures have a +/-2.0 percentage points sampling error.
In comparison with other surveys
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 54.4% for the Democrat Hillary Clinton and 45.6% for the Republican Donald Trump. The Republicans did better by 3.2 percentage points in comparison to the average results of the other polls in Florida.
