NBC/WSJ/MaristNBC/WSJ poll in Michigan: Republicans are trailing
NBC/WSJ/MaristNBC/WSJ published the results of a new poll on March 26. In this poll, respondents from Michigan were asked for whom they would likely vote if Hillary Clinton were the Democratic Party's candidate and Donald Trump were the Republican Party's candidate.
According to the results, 52.0% of respondents would vote for the Democratic Party, while 36.0% would vote for the Republican Party. This poll was conducted from March 1 to March 3, among a random sample of 2229 registered voters. Estimated have a +/-2.1 percentage points margin of error.
In comparison with other surveys
Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 59.1% for the Democrat Hillary Clinton and 40.9% for the Republican Donald Trump. The Democrats did worse by 4.1 percentage points in comparison to the average results of the other polls in Michigan.
