Missouri: Republicans with clear lead in new PPP (D)PPP (D) poll
Results of a new poll carried out by PPP (D)PPP (D) were published on April 5. The poll asked respondents from Missouri for whom they would likely vote if the Democrats nominated Hillary Clinton and the Republican Party nominated Donald Trump.
Of those who responded, 39.0% revealed that they intend to vote for the Democrats, while 48.0% declared that they would give their vote to the Republicans. The poll was carried out between August 7 and August 9. The sample size was 859 registered voters. Figures have a +/-3.3 percentage points margin of error.
In comparison with other surveys
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 44.8% for the Democrat Hillary Clinton and 55.2% for the Republican Donald Trump. The Republicans did worse by 1.0 percentage points in comparison to the average results of the other polls in Missouri.
