Latest EmersonEmerson poll in New York: Republicans trail by a very clear margin
On April 2, EmersonEmerson released the results of a new poll, in which respondents from New York were asked for whom they would vote if the parties' nominees were Hillary Clinton for the Democrats and Donald Trump for the Republicans.
Of those who answered the question, 55.0% said that they would vote for the Democrats, while 36.0% said that they would give their vote to the Republicans. The poll was conducted from March 14 to March 16 with 768 likely voters. Results have a +/-3.5 percentage points error margin.
According to other surveys
Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 60.4% for the Democrats and 39.6% for the Republicans. In comparison to the average results of other polls in New York the Democrats did better in this poll.
