Iowa: New NBC/WSJ/MaristNBC/WSJ/Marist poll shows Democrats leading
On April 2, NBC/WSJ/MaristNBC/WSJ/Marist released the results of a new poll, in which respondents from Iowa were asked for whom they would vote if the parties' nominees were Hillary Clinton for the Democrats and Donald Trump for the Republicans.
Of those who answered the question, 48.0% said that they are going to vote for the Democrats, whereas 40.0% declared that they would give their vote to the Republicans. The poll was conducted from January 2 to January 7 with 1470 registered voters. Results have a +/-2.6 percentage points sampling error. Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 54.6% for the Democrats and 45.5% for the Republicans.
