Results of a new poll carried out by PPP (D)PPP (D) were circulated on April 5. The poll asked participants from Iowa for whom they would likely vote if the Democratic Party nominated Hillary Clinton and the Republican Party nominated Donald Trump.
According to the results, 45.0% of respondents plan to vote for the Democrats, while 43.0% plan to vote for the GOP. The poll was conducted from December 10 to December 13 among 1426 registered voters. Figures have a +/-2.6 percentage points margin of error. Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 51.1% for the Democrats and 48.9% for the Republicans.
