Iowa: Advantage for Democrats in new PPP (D)PPP (D) poll
On March 25, PPP (D)PPP (D) released the results of a new poll, in which respondents from Iowa were asked for whom they would vote if the parties' nominees were Hillary Clinton for the Democrats and Donald Trump for the Republicans.
According to the results, 45.0% of respondents would vote for the Democratic Party, while 43.0% would vote for the Republican Party. The poll was conducted between December 10 and December 13. The sample size was 1426 registered voters. Estimated have a +/-2.6 percentage points margin of error.
In comparison with other surveys
Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 51.1% for the Democrats and 48.9% for the Republicans. In comparison to the average results of other polls in Iowa the Democrats did better in this poll.
