On March 27, QuinnipiacQuinnipiac released the results of a new poll, in which respondents from Florida were asked for whom they would vote if the parties' nominees were Hillary Clinton for the Democrats and Donald Trump for the Republicans.
According to the results, 46.0% of respondents intend to vote for the Democrats, while 41.0% intend to vote for the Republicans. The poll was carried out from September 25 to October 5 with 1173 registered voters. Figures have a +/-2.9 percentage points margin of error.
In comparison with other surveys
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 52.9% for the Democrats and 47.1% for the Republicans. The vote share for the Republicans is 1.6 percentage points over the average results of other polls in Florida.
