On March 25, QuinnipiacQuinnipiac released the results of a new poll, in which respondents from Florida were asked for whom they would vote if the parties' nominees were Hillary Clinton for the Democrats and Donald Trump for the Republicans.
Of those who responded, 46.0% revealed that they will vote for the Democrats, while 41.0% declared that they would give their vote to the Republicans. The poll was in the field between September 25 and October 5. The sample size was 1173 registered voters. The sampling error is +/-2.9 points.
In comparison with other surveys
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 52.9% for the Democrat Clinton and 47.1% for the Republican Trump. In comparison to the average results of other polls in Florida the Republicans did better in this poll.
