Democrats lead in Virginia by 10 points in new PPP (D)PPP (D) poll
Results of a new poll conducted by PPP (D)PPP (D) were distributed on April 5. The poll asked participants from Virginia for whom they would likely vote if the Democratic Party nominated Hillary Clinton and the Republicans nominated Donald Trump.
According to the results, 49.0% of participants are going to vote for the Democratic Party, while 39.0% are going to vote for the Republican Party. The poll was in the field between July 13 and July 15. The sample size was 1170 registered voters. Results have a +/-2.9 percentage points sampling error.
According to other surveys
Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 55.7% for the Democrat Clinton and 44.3% for the Republican Trump. The vote share for the Democrats is 0.8 percentage points over the average results of other polls in Virginia.
