Democrats lead in Illinois by 25 points in new NBC/WSJ/MaristNBC/WSJ/Marist poll
Results of a new poll carried out by NBC/WSJ/MaristNBC/WSJ/Marist were published on April 2. The poll asked respondents from Illinois for whom they would likely vote if the Democrats nominated Hillary Clinton and the Republicans nominated Donald Trump.
The results show that 57.0% of participants intend to vote for the Democrats, while 32.0% said they would vote for the Republicans. The poll was in the field between March 4 and March 10. The sample size was 1968 registered voters. Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 64.0% for the Democrat Clinton and 36.0% for the Republican Trump.
