On April 27, WWL-TV/Clarus released the results of a new poll, in which respondents from Louisiana were asked for whom they would vote if the parties' nominees were Hillary Clinton for the Democrats and Donald Trump for the Republicans.
Of those who responded, 39.0% said that they are going to vote for the Democrats, whereas 47.0% declared that they would give their vote to the Republicans. The poll was carried out from September 20 to September 23 among 800 registered voters. Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 45.4% for the democrat Hillary Clinton and 54.7% for the republican Donald Trump.
