Latest Mercyhurst University poll in Pennsylvania: Democrats with clear lead
On April 27, Mercyhurst University released the results of a new poll, in which respondents from Pennsylvania were asked for whom they would vote if the parties' nominees were Hillary Clinton for the Democrats and Donald Trump for the Republicans.
According to the results, 43.0% of respondents would vote for the Democrats, while 35.0% would vote for the Republicans. The poll was carried out between March 1 and March 11. The sample size was 421 registered voters. Figures have a +/-4.8 percentage points margin of error.
According to other surveys
Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 55.1% for the democrat Hillary Clinton and 44.9% for the republican Donald Trump. In comparison to the average results of other polls in Pennsylvania the Democrats did worse in this poll.

The poll numbers for the Democrats are thus 2.2 percentage points higher than the combined PollyVote, which at the moment foresees a value of 52.9% in Pennsylvania.
