Democrats lead in North Carolina by 6 points in new Elon University poll
Elon University published the results of a new poll on April 27. In this poll, respondents from North Carolina were asked for whom they would likely vote if Hillary Clinton were the Democratic Party's candidate and Donald Trump were the Republican Party's candidate.
According to the results, 47.0% of participants plan to vote for the Democrats, while 41.0% plan to vote for the Republican Party. The poll was carried out from February 15 to February 17 among 1530 likely voters. The margin of error is +/-2.5 points. Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 53.4% for the democrat Clinton and 46.6% for the republican Trump.
