Results of a new poll conducted by WXYZ-TV/Detroit Free Press were released on April 17. Participants from Michigan were asked, who they would give their vote to, if the election were today. Of those who answered the question, 46.0% said that they will vote for the democrat Clinton, while 38.0% said that they would give their vote to Trump. This poll was conducted from October 25 to October 31, among a random sample of 600 likely voters. Estimated have a +/-4.0 percentage points margin of error.
Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 54.8% for the democrat Hillary Clinton and 45.2% for Donald Trump.
