Wisconsin: New Emerson poll shows Republicans trailing
Results of a new poll carried out by Emerson were published on April 22. Participants from Wisconsin were asked, who they would give their vote to, if the election were today. According to the results, 47.0% of respondents intend to vote for the Democrats, while 37.0% intend to vote for the Republican Party. The poll was conducted from March 30 to April 3 with 1198 likely voters. Results have a +/-2.8 percentage points margin of error.
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 56.0% for the democrat Clinton and 44.1% for Trump. The democrats did better by 0.5 percentage points in comparison to the average results of the other polls in Wisconsin.
