Wisconsin: Democrats hold clear lead in new Emerson poll
The results of a new poll, conducted by Emerson in Wisconsin, were published on March 30. In the survey participants were asked, whether they would vote for democrat Hillary Clinton or republican Donald Trump, assuming that these two candidates would win the primaries. The results show that 47.0% of interviewees would vote for Democratic party, whereas 38.0% said they would vote for Republican party. The poll was conducted between March 20 and March 22. The sample size was 922 likely voters. The margin of error is +/-3.2 percentage points.
Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 55.3% for the Democrats and 44.7% for the Republicans. The value for the democrats is identical to the average results of the other polls in Wisconsin.
