Christopher Newport University published the results of a new poll, in which participants from Virginia were asked who they would vote for. According to the results, 47.0% of respondents intend to vote for the Democratic Party, while 40.0% intend to vote for the Republicans. This poll was conducted from September 29 to October 8, among a random sample of 1067 registered voters. The margin of error is +/-3.2 points.
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 54.0% for the democrat Clinton and 46.0% for the republican Trump. In comparison to the average results of other polls in Virginia The democrats did better in this poll.
