Virginia: Democrats with clear advantage in recent Christopher Newport University poll
Christopher Newport University published the results of a new poll, in which participants from Virginia were asked who they would vote for. Of those who responded, 47.0% said that they will vote for the Democrats, while 40.0% said that they would give their vote to the Republicans. The poll was conducted between September 29 and October 8. The sample size was 1067 registered voters. The margin of error is +/-3.2 points.
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 54.0% for the democrat Hillary Clinton and 46.0% for Donald Trump.
