PPP (D) poll in Virginia: Republicans are trailing
The results of a new poll, conducted by PPP (D) in Virginia, were published on April 1. In the survey participants were asked, whether they would vote for democrat Hillary Clinton or republican Donald Trump, assuming that these two candidates would win the primaries. The results show that 49.0% of interviewees intend to vote for the Democrats, whereas 39.0% said they would vote for Republican party. This poll was conducted from July 13 to July 15, among a random sample of 1170 registered voters. Results have a +/-2.9 percentage points margin of error.
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 55.7% for the democrat Clinton and 44.3% for Trump. In comparison to the average results of other polls in Virginia The democrats did better in this poll.
