Virginia: Clear advantage for Democrats in new Christopher Newport University poll
Results of a new poll conducted by Christopher Newport University were released on April 22. Participants from Virginia were asked, who they would give their vote to, if the election were today. According to the results, 44.0% of participants plan to vote for the Democratic Party, while 35.0% plan to vote for the Republicans. The poll was in the field between March 23 and April 3. The sample size was 1167 registered voters. Estimated have a +/-3.1 percentage points sampling error.
Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 55.7% for the Democrats and 44.3% for the Republicans.
