The results of a new poll, sponsored Texas Lyceum in Texas, were published on April 26. In the survey participants were asked, whether they would vote for democrat Hillary Clinton or republican Donald Trump, assuming that these two candidates would win the primaries. Of those who answered the question, 37.0% said that they will vote for the Democrats, while 39.0% indicated that they would give their vote to the Republicans. This poll was conducted from September 8 to September 21, among a random sample of 633 likely voters.
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 48.7% for the democrat Clinton and 51.3% for Trump.
