The results of a new poll, conducted on behalf of Texas Lyceum in Texas, were released on April 4. In the survey participants were asked, whether they would vote for democrat Hillary Clinton or republican Donald Trump, assuming that these two candidates would win the primaries. Of those who answered the question, 37.0% said that they plan to vote for Clinton, whereas 39.0% said that they would give their vote to Trump. This poll was conducted from September 8 to September 21, among a random sample of 633 likely voters.
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 48.7% for the democrat Hillary Clinton and 51.3% for Donald Trump.
