On April 11, PPP (D)PPP (D) released the results of a new poll, in which respondents from South Carolina were asked for whom they would vote if the parties' nominees were Hillary Clinton for the Democrats and Donald Trump for the Republicans.
Of those who responded, 42.0% said that they would vote for the Democrats, while 47.0% revealed that they would give their vote to the Republicans. This poll was conducted from November 7 to November 8, among a random sample of 1290 registered voters. Estimated have a +/-2.7 percentage points margin of error. Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 47.2% for the Democrats and 52.8% for the Republicans.
