Virginia: New Roanoke College poll shows Democrats ahead
Roanoke College published the results of a new poll, in which participants from Virginia were asked who they would vote for. According to the results, 52.0% of interviewees intend to vote for the Democratic Party, while 35.0% intend to vote for the Republicans. This poll was conducted from January 18 to January 26, among a random sample of 524 likely voters. Estimated have a +/-4.3 percentage points sampling error.
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 59.8% for Hillary Clinton and 40.2% for the republican Donald Trump. The vote share for the democrats is 1.9 percentage points under the average results of other polls in Virginia.
