Results of a new poll conducted by Roanoke College were released on March 31. Participants from Virginia were asked, who they would give their vote to, if the election were today. According to the results, 52.0% of interviewees plan to vote for the Democrats, while 35.0% plan to vote for the Republican Party. This poll was conducted from January 18 to January 26, among a random sample of 524 likely voters. The margin of error is +/-4.3 points.
Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 59.8% for the democrat Hillary Clinton and 40.2% for the republican Donald Trump.
