Roanoke College poll in Virginia: Democrats are leading
Results of a new poll conducted by Roanoke College were released on April 12. Participants from Virginia were asked, who they would give their vote to, if the election were today. Of those who answered the question, 52.0% revealed that they would vote for the Democrats, while 35.0% declared that they would give their vote to the Republicans. This poll was conducted from January 18 to January 26, among a random sample of 524 likely voters. Results have a +/-4.3 percentage points margin of error.
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 59.8% for the democrat Hillary Clinton and 40.2% for the republican Donald Trump.
