Quinnipiac poll in Ohio: Republicans are ahead
Results of a new poll conducted by Quinnipiac were released on March 30. Participants from Ohio were asked, who they would give their vote to, if the election were today. The results show that 42.0% of respondents would vote for the democrat Hillary Clinton, whereas 44.0% said they would vote for Donald Trump. The poll was carried out from February 16 to February 20 with 1539 registered voters. The sampling error is +/-2.5 percentage points.
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 48.8% for the Democrats and 51.2% for the Republicans. In comparison to the average results of other polls in Ohio The democrats did better in this poll.
