The results of a new poll, sponsored PPP (D) in North Carolina, were published on April 22. In the survey participants were asked, whether they would vote for democrat Hillary Clinton or republican Donald Trump, assuming that these two candidates would win the primaries. The results show that 44.0% of respondents would vote for the Democrats, while 42.0% said they would vote for Republican party. The poll was carried out from March 18 to March 20 with 843 registered voters. Figures have a +/-3.4 percentage points sampling error.
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 51.2% for the democrat Clinton and 48.8% for Trump.
