The results of a new poll, sponsored PPP (D) in Iowa, were released on March 28. In the survey participants were asked, whether they would vote for democrat Hillary Clinton or republican Donald Trump, assuming that these two candidates would win the primaries. The results reveal that 45.0% of participants would vote for Democratic party, whereas 43.0% said they would vote for the Republicans. The poll was carried out from December 10 to December 13 among 1426 registered voters. The margin of error is +/-2.6 percentage points.
Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 51.1% for the democrat Hillary Clinton and 48.9% for the republican Donald Trump. The vote share for the democrats is 1.7 percentage points over the average results of other polls in Iowa.
