On April 14, PPP (D)PPP (D) released the results of a new poll, in which respondents from New York were asked for whom they would vote if the parties' nominees were Hillary Clinton for the Democrats and Donald Trump for the Republicans.
Of those who answered the question, 55.0% said that they would vote for Hillary Clinton, while 35.0% indicated that they would give their vote to the Republican Donald Trump. This poll was conducted from April 7 to April 10, among a random sample of 1403 registered voters. Estimated have a +/-2.6 percentage points margin of error.
Other survey prognoses
Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 61.1% for the Democrat Clinton and 38.9% for the Republican Trump. The vote share for the Democrats is 0.6 percentage points over the average results of other polls in New York.
