Results of a new poll carried out by PPP (D)PPP (D) were released on April 16. The poll asked participants from Minnesota for whom they would likely vote if the Democrats nominated Hillary Clinton and the Republican Party nominated Donald Trump.
The results show that 44.0% of interviewees would vote for the Democrat Hillary Clinton, whereas 39.0% said they would vote for the Republican Donald Trump. The poll was conducted from July 30 to August 2 among 1015 registered voters. The margin of error is +/-3.1 percentage points.
Other survey prognoses
Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 53.0% for the Democrats and 47.0% for the Republicans. The vote share for the Democrats is 1.6 percentage points under the average results of other polls in Minnesota.
