Minnesota: Democrats with comfortable advantage in recent PPP (D)PPP (D) poll
On April 11, PPP (D)PPP (D) released the results of a new poll, in which respondents from Minnesota were asked for whom they would vote if the parties' nominees were Hillary Clinton for the Democrats and Donald Trump for the Republicans.
Of those who answered the question, 44.0% said that they plan to vote for the Democrats, while 39.0% declared that they would give their vote to the Republicans. This poll was conducted from July 30 to August 2, among a random sample of 1015 registered voters. Figures have a +/-3.1 percentage points margin of error.
According to other surveys
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 53.0% for Hillary Clinton and 47.0% for the Republican Donald Trump. The vote share for the Democrats is 1.6 percentage points under the average results of other polls in Minnesota.
