Pennsylvania: Advantage for Democrats in new Mercyhurst University poll
Results of a new poll conducted by Mercyhurst University were released on April 25. Participants from Pennsylvania were asked, who they would give their vote to, if the election were today. According to the results, 43.0% of participants would vote for the Democratic Party, while 35.0% would vote for the Republican Party. The poll was carried out from March 1 to March 11 among 421 registered voters. Figures have a +/-4.8 percentage points error margin.
Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 55.1% for the democrat Clinton and 44.9% for the republican Trump. The democrats did worse by 0.8 percentage points in comparison to the average results of the other polls in Pennsylvania.
