The results of a new poll, conducted on behalf of Quinnipiac in Ohio, were published on April 25. In the survey participants were asked, whether they would vote for democrat Hillary Clinton or republican Donald Trump, assuming that these two candidates would win the primaries. According to the results, 42.0% of interviewees plan to vote for the Democratic Party, while 44.0% plan to vote for the Republican Party. This poll was conducted from February 16 to February 20, among a random sample of 1539 registered voters. The margin of error is +/-2.5 points.
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 48.8% for the Democrats and 51.2% for the Republicans.
