Elon University published the results of a new poll, in which participants from North Carolina were asked who they would vote for. The results show that 47.0% of participants would vote for Democratic party, whereas 41.0% said they would vote for GOP. The poll was conducted from February 15 to February 17 with 1530 likely voters. Figures have a +/-2.5 percentage points sampling error.
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 53.4% for the democrat Hillary Clinton and 46.6% for the republican Donald Trump. In comparison to the average results of other polls in North Carolina The republicans did better in this poll.
