New York: Democrats with very clear advantage in latest Emerson poll
Results of a new poll carried out by Emerson were released on March 30. Participants from New York were asked, who they would give their vote to, if the election were today. Of those who responded, 55.0% said that they intend to vote for the Democrats, while 36.0% said that they would give their vote to the Republicans. The poll was conducted from March 14 to March 16 among 768 likely voters. Results have a +/-3.5 percentage points sampling error.
Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 60.4% for the democrat Hillary Clinton and 39.6% for the republican Donald Trump. The vote share for the democrats is 1.1 percentage points over the average results of other polls in New York.
