Virginia: Very clear lead for Democrats in latest Roanoke College poll
Results of a new poll carried out by Roanoke College were released on April 24. Participants from Virginia were asked, who they would give their vote to, if the election were today. Of those who responded, 52.0% said that they are going to vote for the Democrats, whereas 35.0% indicated that they would give their vote to the Republicans. This poll was conducted from January 18 to January 26, among a random sample of 524 likely voters. Figures have a +/-4.3 percentage points sampling error.
Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 59.8% for the democrat Clinton and 40.2% for the republican Trump.
