Results of a new poll conducted by Roanoke College were published on April 7. Participants from Virginia were asked, who they would give their vote to, if the election were today. According to the results, 52.0% of respondents plan to vote for the Democrats, while 35.0% plan to vote for the Republicans. The poll was conducted from January 18 to January 26 among 524 likely voters. The sampling error is +/-4.3 percentage points.
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 59.8% for Hillary Clinton and 40.2% for the republican Donald Trump.
