Latest PPP (D)PPP (D) poll in Virginia: Republicans trail by a clear margin
Results of a new poll carried out by PPP (D)PPP (D) were released on April 7. The poll asked participants from Virginia for whom they would likely vote if the Democrats nominated Hillary Clinton and the Republicans nominated Donald Trump.
The results reveal that 49.0% of respondents intend to vote for the Democratic party, while 39.0% said they would vote for the Republicans. The poll was in the field between July 13 and July 15. The sample size was 1170 registered voters. The margin of error is +/-2.9 percentage points. Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 55.7% for the Democrats and 44.3% for the Republicans.
