NBC-WSJ-Marist poll in Ohio: Democrats with clear lead
The results of a new poll, conducted on behalf of NBC-WSJ-Marist in Ohio, were published on March 30. In the survey participants were asked, whether they would vote for democrat Hillary Clinton or republican Donald Trump, assuming that these two candidates would win the primaries. The results show that 48.0% of respondents are going to vote for the Democrats, whereas 42.0% said they would vote for GOP. The poll was carried out from March 4 to March 10 among 2052 registered voters. The sampling error is +/-2.2 points.
Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields figures of 53.3% for the Democrats and 46.7% for the Republicans. The democrats did worse by 1.1 percentage points in comparison to the average results of the other polls in Ohio.
