The results of a new poll, sponsored Fort Hays St. University in Missouri, were published on March 31. In the survey participants were asked, whether they would vote for democrat Hillary Clinton or republican Donald Trump, assuming that these two candidates would win the primaries. The results show that 38.0% of interviewees are going to vote for Democratic party, whereas 43.0% said they would vote for the Republicans. The poll was carried out from March 3 to March 10 among 475 adults. The margin of error is +/-4.6 percentage points.
Converting these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 46.9% for the democrat Hillary Clinton and 53.1% for Donald Trump. The vote share for the republicans is 1.1 percentage points over the average results of other polls in Missouri.
