Results of a new poll conducted by WXYZ-TV/Detroit Free Press were published on April 8. Participants from Michigan were asked, who they would give their vote to, if the election were today. According to the results, 46.0% of participants would vote for the Democratic Party, while 38.0% would vote for the Republican Party. The poll was carried out from October 25 to October 31 among 600 likely voters. The error margin is +/-4.0 percentage points.
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 54.8% for the democrat Hillary Clinton and 45.2% for the republican Donald Trump.
