Michigan: New WXYZ-TV/Detroit Free Press poll shows Democrats in the lead
Results of a new poll conducted by WXYZ-TV/Detroit Free Press were released on March 24. Participants from Michigan were asked, who they would give their vote to, if the election were today. The results show that 46.0% of respondents will vote for Democratic party, whereas 38.0% said they would vote for GOP. The poll was conducted between October 25 and October 31. The sample size was 600 likely voters. Results have a +/-4.0 percentage points margin of error.
Translating these results into two-party vote shares yields values of 54.8% for the democrat Clinton and 45.2% for Trump. The vote share for the democrats is 0.2 percentage points under the average results of other polls in Michigan.
